The Story

The original name for the on-line store Black River Music Plus comes from the fife & drum corps that my wife and I co-founded with another couple in 1988: The Black River Fife & Drum Corps. The name of the corps comes from the river that flows through Ludlow, Vermont where our first practices were held. As with many folks, I have always wanted to be able to make some kind of a living through my avocation. Black River Music Plus was my attempt to do just that. It's my desire to have available on this website high quality drumsticks, practice equipment, instructional material, music and more for drummers and percussionist. In order to have a term in our business name and Internet address that reflects what we offer, we changed the name presented to the world to BRMP-DRUMS; Basically, Black River Music Plus - DRUMS
